Learn How To Master Transformation.
How will humans measure up in relation to AI and other emerging technologies that rapidly transform our society?
The ability to rapidly learn, deeply understand and make sense of complex information structures and processes are increasingly becoming a key ability for any professional to acquire. Independent of age, role or type of profession! Likely giving special weight and importance in relation to and pointing toward leadership.
‘The Big Transformation’, or ‘Shift is not coming any time soon. In fact it all began quite a while back. The train already left the station. Transformation is now very rapidly speeding up, leaving masses of people and professionals behind on a global scale.
The question is; Will you be able to keep up, or will you stagnate and loose your stance?
Approximately 50% (47% to be exact) of today's jobs will disappear. Other different types of new jobs will of course be created. But what about the other half, the other 50%? Are they likely to stay the same?
Both ‘existing’ and newly developed jobs will radically transform, evolve and develop on a massive scale, due to emerging technologies and automation.

Do you perhaps feel an itching sense of ‘lagging behind’ and experience a mighty tough challenge just keeping up, being able to rapidly learn and quickly master new knowledge domains and areas of insight?
- If so; then you belong to a fairly large group of people who risk to loose out when future work opportunities do arise.
To quote Harold Jarche;
“Work is learning. Learning is the work”.
Let’s face reality!
We all better start upgrading our learning capabilities instantly! Both individually, as a team as well as an organization.
A well developed learning process and ability to acquire outstanding learning proficiency are likely to become the key focus point for talent developers, recruiters and management in the coming decade.
Setting up a functional support infrastructure for your own personal and professional learning journey as a leader, an entrepreneur, a transformation catalyst, a change agent, an innovator, a business or product developer can often prove to present a significant challenge.
Mutual Learning - Not A ‘Winning Game’
Learning is simply not an individual activity. As it turns out it rather requires more of a team or group effort to be efficient and beneficial. A group and team effort that includes learning WITH or between, not only ‘from’, co-workers, customers, stakeholders, partners. suppliers etc.
Learning as a whole is not a ‘winning game’. It’s not about who learn the fastest or who can learn the most. It is all about the outcome of what we are able to learn as a group and how we are able to turn those learnings into meaningful action. It will never be about ‘winning’. It’s about balance and eco-systemic health on a global scale.
This makes an important distinction which indicates implementing a functional process for mutual learning at the core of transformational change and organizational evolution.
It’s a balanced process where all parties concerned are learning together and in synch. #SynchronisedLearning
You are not merely a ‘single-individual-learning-island’, who simply need to update and evolve your own ‘knowledge base’.
More importantly, in times of rapid transformation you need to acquire and nourish the capability of actively and continuously learning together with individuals and groups that constantly cross your professional path, including talent that doesn’t belong to the same organization as you.
How you manage to enable and empower this process will define how well you are able to execute the mission in both your current and future role and position.
Mastering complexity and sense making require a well thought through and established learning infrastructure as well as an open and mutually beneficial dialogue between all stakeholders in the system.
How do you find your ‘learning stance’ and begin evolve and cultivate your learning capabilities?
How To Filter & Sort Relevance?
Have you reached a realization on how to continuously + automatically filter and make sense of what’s relevant to learn in your information stream?
How do you contextualize your learning efforts to engage with thought leaders and experts globally, or locally?
How do you form and generate your continuous learning narrative?
How to share your learnings and insights? How do you engage in dialogue with people you can learn from - and more importantly - who are able to learn from you?
How do you source and cluster your channels of learning, as a professional, as a team and as an organization?
How does your organizational learning strategy look like? How do you describe it to your customers and stakeholders?
What impact will your learning strategy have, on you, your organization and toward society at large?
Have you documented and mapped the organizational learning strategy to effectively drive development, strategy and innovation practices?
These are some of the questions we curiously ask our interview subjects when we meet up - IRL, or online.
The questions are being directed to game changers, transformation agents and leaders who are engaged in transformation and change programs, innovation efforts, business and product development etc.
In short people who strive to be one step ahead.
- Are you one of those? Or perhaps you are looking to become one?
- Do you wish to tweak, or boost your learning capabilities just a notch, or perhaps make a giant leap?
